Sir
Agreeable to Yr. Desire of the 9th. inst. I have made
diligent Search into the State of the Quit Rents of the Man
of Sopeliffs And find an Accot. Settled by P Self & Mr.
Matthew on the 26th. Novr. 1737 by which the Balance then
due to this Hospll appears to be £84..9..2/2 of which I
make no doubt Yo have a Copy And the Money Yo. have
paid since that time on that Accot. amounts to £263.8.8
to which may be added the £1..15 reced by Mr. Morses of
Mr. Hitcks at the last Court Now Sir the only Part
wanting to State this Accot. Clearly is a Ratal of the
several Rents & Tents. and to what time each have paid
This Mr. Treasurer desires Yo will pleaser to send him
as soon as conveniently Yo. can in order to give Yo. no
More Trouble in this Affair if it May possibily be avoided

< no role > Esqr . deceas'd was admitted by You as his Attorney to certain
Copy hold Lands [..] held of the March of Ellisley Devised to St. Thomas
Hospital & the London Workhouse Equally

Mr. Francis Weingfield< no role > of Potton in Bedfordshire the Steward
of the Manor has appointed friday 18th. January next for a court
on purpose to Admit a Tenant In Trust for the Charityes & this is
the Second time he has given us Notice of Courts without previously
Consulting our Convenience The first Court was appointed so
Suddenly that there was no time for the Governors to Moore a New
One the Doing of which requires Some Ceremony as these are
Two District Bodyes concern'd and therefore I proceiv'd that Court
to be postpon'd Their Hurying in this Manner shews the
Lord to be a Little Hungry for Jobserive the last Admission was
above a Year after the Death of the Preceeding Tenant & the
went be Two Months How ever the Governors have appointed
a person and proposes that you should appear as his Attorney
for which purpose I Will send You a Letter of Attorney if that be necessary
Or if you think it more Expredient tho'. it should not be absolusley Necessary
