Mr. Morse our Steward of Courts desires
you will immediately on the Recet of this Psuant to the Authority
he has given Yo. distrain the Stock of John Maser< no role > Tenant to
Simon Freemont< no role > for the Arrears of Quit rent mentioned in Yr.
Warrant And that Yo. Will let me know Yr. Proceedings
therein J. W

To Mr. John Godfrey< no role > at little Eversden near Cambridge

Yrs. of the 7th. inst. came to hand yesterday & has
been laid before Mr. Morse who approves of Yr. Conduct in this
Affair And for Yr. further Direction therein he desires Yr. will
appraice Maser's Stock & Goods and take his Note of hand
fox the Value of them (if less than the quit Rent due from Freemont)
which he is to pay off as his Rent becomes due to Freemont
And Maser should let Freemont know that a Distress has been
made Mr. Morse Likewise directs that Masers pay I
the Expences Yo. have been at & for Yr. Trouble out of the Rent
he now owes The Note is to be made payable to William
Mount

£22.7.4 if the Stock be worth it
