I reced yors. of the 20th inst: & laid it before Mr. Treasurer,
who has ordered me to write you for answer, that, as all the Tents
were well acquainted with the Charges attending the Leases before
they agreed for them, it is expected they should pay the usual
Fees, otherwise their Agreements will be void; & as to the Leases
of those Tenants who died before the Execution of them, that they
may be assign'd to others, provided they are such as you approve
of. Mr. Treasurer thinks it necessary, in order to determine
the Affair relating to Mrs. Power's Son, to know what his Character
is; and therefore desires your Opinion of him, whether you think
him a proper Person to be intrusted with the Farme

paying your Rent, has ordered me to let you know that the
Hospital Accounts will be closed & Audited at Lady day next
by the Governors, & that your large Arrear will then
have a very ill look.
