St. Thomas's Hospital 3d Novr 1739

Sr
Mr Treasurer received yesterday
yours of the 31st. of October & has ordered me to write
you for answer, that he would have you do at Woollards
house what Repairs are necessary for the present,
but defer the Bulk of them till the Governors come
down. [..] Mr Camp is to disburse the Money
for paying the Workmen, & to have it allowed him in
his Rent.

Samuel Lasingham< no role > Esqr Treasurer of St
Thomas's Hospital recd both yor. Letters concerning
ye. Estate at Eltisley ; In Consequence of ye first of which
I wrote to Mr Tho: York< no role > Attorney at Cambridge , yt.
ye. Hospitall & ye London Work house who have like
wise an Intt: in this Estate had resolved yt. it should be
taken up on the Life of Mr Edwd. Ironside< no role > Banker
in Lombard Street & I directed him to see you as soon as
might be, & advise if any thing further were necessary:
& likewise to attend ye Court to do wt. was proper there.
I have an Answer from him by ye last Post, wherein he
tells me yt. ye. Distance betn you is so great yt: he shall
not be able to see you before ye. Day on which ye Court
is to be held. Mr Ironside is a Man of Business, & it
will be by no means convenient for him to go down
on this Occasion; & as ye proper Order is made in ye
