You may perhaps expect to find the first Part of
my Letter to be that I am surprised you do not pay yor: Rent
better; but yor: Behaviour, as a Tenant to the Hospital, has been so
uniform was since I knew you, that I should very much wonder
if you should discharge yor. long Arrear without some Trouble to
the Hospital & great Expence to yor: Self. In plain Terms I am
to inform you that Mr. Treasurer
, finding it to no purpose to write
to you, has given you up; and the Consequence will be that a
Distress will suddenly be made, your Lease vacated & the Farme
let to another, You are so insensible of any Favour from the
Hospital, that I know you will consider this friendly Notice as
a Matter of Form only, & by that put it out of my Power of being
