Charles Pocock< no role > of Hammersmith in the County of Middlesex Waterman
Maketh Oath and saith that he was bound over to prosecute the above named
William Ellis< no role > in October Session for having in his possion a Small [..]
quantity of Coals which was Suspected to have been Stolen from some
person Unknown and this Deponent further saith that he did Attend this
Worshipfull Court several days during the said Session for the purpose of
giving his Evidence against the said Defendant persuant to his Recognizance
but to his Surprize he did not hear his or the said Defendant Name Called
And this Deponent further saith that the had no view or Interest to screen or
Excuse the said Defendant from the said Prosecution byanythe said Defendt
or any person or persons whatsoever for or on his behalf And this Dept
Lastly saith that the said Defendant is an Intier Stranger to the said Deft and
herbeing a Stranger no the Neighbourhood Hamersmith and having
Coals in his possion was desired by one by the Constables of Hammersmith to
did and Aforst him in the Execution of his Office and to Carry the said
Defendant before Justices Foster before whom this Deponent was bound over
to prosecute the said Defendant
