At the General Quarter Session of the peace of our
Sovereign Lord the King begun & holden for the County of
Middx at Westminster in the Said County on Monday
in the Week next after the close of Easter (to witt) the
twenty Second day of April in the Seventh yeare of the
reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second King
of Great Britain France & Ireland Defender of the
Faith before the Justices next Under named and from
thence continued by several adjornments untill this
day (to witt) Friday the twenty Sixth day of the Same
Month of April in the Yeare aforesaid and on the same
day holden by adjornment at Hicks hall in St. John Street in
& for the County aforesaid before Thomas Lane< no role > Esqr. Sr. John
Gonson
< no role > Knt. John Martin< no role > [..] Benjamin Burroughs< no role >
Esqrs. and other their Fellows Justices of our Said Lord the
King assigned [..] to keep the peace in the County
aforesaid and alsoe to heare & determine divers felonys
tres passes & other misdeeds committed in the Same County,

Whereas George Burton< no role > exhibited his humble petition
Unto this Court Settingforth That the Petr. become
bound by Indenture of apprenticehood bearing date
the eleventh day of July one thousand seven hundred
and thirety two to James Chevallier< no role > of Old Southampton
Buildings in this County Perukemaker for the terme of
nine yeares to learn his Art And that the Petr. in
last June Sessions Exhibited his humble petition
to the Court alledging therein that the Petr. was very
much beat & abused, and prayed to be discharged, but
on hearing, the Said petition was dismissed and the
Petr. Ordered to goe home to his Master, and likewise
that his Master was ordered, not to give him immoderate
correction, And the Petr. by his present petition to this
Court further alledged that his Master hath Since cruelly
& inhumanely beat and kicked the Petr. over the head
Whereby the Petr. became deaf for upwards of a forting
And that the Petrs. Master is Subject to great passion, in
