To the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the Parish
of St. John of Wapping in the County of Middlx and also
to the Churchwardens. and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish
of St. Botolphs Without Aldgate in the Said County.

Whereas Complaint hath been made unto us whose hands & Seales
are hereunto Sett two of his Matiss Justices of the peace of the
Said County of Middx (quor unus) by the Churchwardens & Overseers
of the Poor of the Parish of St. John of Wapping abovesaid That
Prosperous Wannell< no role > aged Four-Yeares was lately brought
into the Said Parish endeavouring to Settle her there contrary
to Saw And it Appearing unto us that Edward Wonnell< no role > the [..]
Father of the Said Child is dead and that Elizabeth Wonnell< no role > the
Mother of the Said Child is run away therefore wee the Said
Justices of the Peace Do adjudge the Said Child likely to be [..]
Chargeable to the Said Parish of St. John of Wapping And
Whereas it further Appeareth unto us the Said Justices of the
Peace upon Examinacon laden upon Oath That the Said
Edward Wonnell< no role > was an Irishman and that in his life time
never gaind any Legal Settlement in England, And that the
Said Elizabeth Wonnell< no role > When as Single person, her legal Settlement
was in the Parish of St. Botolphs without Aldgate in the Said
County of Middlx Which wee the Said Justices of the Peace Do
adjudge to be true Therefore wee adjudge the Legel Settlement
of the Said Prosperous Wonnell< no role > in Right of her Said Mother
to be in the Parish of St. Botolphs without Aldgate abovesaid

These are therefore in his Maties Name to will
and require you to convey and Pass the said Prosperous
Wonnell
< no role > from your said Parish of St. John of Wapping
to the Parish of St. Botolphs without Aldgate abovesaid
and deliver her to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the
Poor there or to Some or one of them Who are hereby required
to provide for her According to Law: Given under our
hands and Seales this 1st day of November An Com 1725
