Upon hearing of the appeale of the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the poor of the parish of St. Gyles in the fields
in this County against an Order Under the hands & seales of
William Conn< no role > & Edward Le Neve< no role > Esqrs. two of her Maties.
Justices of the peace for the City & Liberty of westmr in
this County (Quor unus) bearing date the twenty first
day of March last whereby Dorothy Tampson< no role > &
her four children (Vizt.) John< no role > aged about five yeares
Thomas< no role > aged about four yeares, william< no role > aged about
two yeares & Elizabeth< no role > aged about six weekes who
were become chargeable to the parish of st. Ann in the
sd Liberty of westmr . were removed from the Sd parish
of St. Ann to the sd. parish of st. Gyles in the fields as the
place of their last legall settlemt; And Upon hearing
of what was insisted on by Councell for the Inhabitants
of the sd parish of st. Ann & alsoe by Councell for the
Inhitants of the sd parish of st. Gyles in the fields, For
that it doth not apeare to this Court that the sd Dorothy
Tompson
< no role > [..] or her sd four children or any of them had
any legall settlemt. in the sd parish of st. Gyles in the
fields This Court doth allow of the sd appeale and doth
Vacate & discharge the aforesaid Order of the sd two
Justices of the peace, And doth further Order that the
Overseers of the poor of the sd. parish of St. Gyles in the
fields doe forthwith remove & convey the sd Dorothy
Tompson & her sd four children from their sd parish
to the sd parish of st. Ann, and deliver them to the
