of thesaidGoals or Prisons of withinthe County of Midd [..]
and City of Westminster who at the [..] great Expence of the said County provide p [..]
Medicines of every kind give due and unremitted attenda [..]
and faithfully administer the necessary applications and
medicaments to such of the Prisoners in the said Goals a [..]
stand in need of medical or Chirurgical assistance whe [..]
it appearing to this Court that the said Vote is grounded
misinformation and imposition and the County thereby
intended to be given is unmerited by the said William
Smith
< no role > in as much as respects his attendance on the sick
prisoners in the Goals and Prisons belonging to this bou [..]
and the City of Westminster

Resolved that it be and it is hereby referred
to the Committee appointed to carry into immediate and
effectual Execution the Repair of New Prison and Clerkenwell
Bridewell to inquire particularly "whether or no William Sm [..]
Doctor in Physic hath for near four years last past or for any other Period constantly
attended such Prisoners as have been confined within that
space of time in His Majestys Goal of Newgate in New Prison
at Clerkenwell in the House of Correction of Clerkenwell in
the House of Correction at Tothill fields in the Gatehouses
New Prison at Westminster in Whitechapel Goal in the
Goal of the Liberty of his Majestys Tower of London being [..]
the Goals and Prisons within the County of Middlesex and
City and Liberty of Westminster or either of them and have [..]
Sick during their Confinement and whether he hath been
any Expence in respect to the said sick Prisoners" and to [..]
