"the following papers which had been delivered to him by order of the
"Lord Mayor Judges Recorder and other Magistrates holding the present
"Session of Goal Delivery of Newgate vizt. "The Lord Mayor Judges
"Recorder and other Magistrates now attending the Session at the
"Old Bailey present their Compliments to the Chairman and
"Justices at Hicks Hall and acquaint them that they have thought
"proper to revive a former order of this Court for bringing forward
"the publick business and desire that the Justice's will be pleased
"to take into their Consideration any other effectual means for
"Expediting the Felony bills on the first day of the Session so that
"the Court here may not for the future be obliged to adjourn for
"want of a supply of business as happened for two hours yesterday
"Morning and also in the last September and October Sessions

"The Court have now no Bills to proceed on nor have
"had any Middlesex Bills since Six O Clock yesterday afternoon
"and are therefore obliged to adjourn a Second time

"Justice Hall 9th. December 1779

Middlesex

"At the delivery of the Kings Goal of Newgate holden for the County
"of Middlesex at Justice Hall in the old Bailey in the Suburbs of the City
"of London on Wednesday the eighth day of December in the
"Twentieth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third by
"the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King
"defender of the faith Etc. before Brackley Kennett< no role > Esquire Mayor of

"Justices of our said Lord the King of his Court of Common Pleas Sir
