It appearing unto this Court that Charles Simes< no role > Surveyor or Supervisor
of the Liberty of Saffron Hill Hatton Garden and Ely Rents those parts of
the Parishes of St. Clement Dane and St Mary le Strand as lie within the
Liberty of the Dutchy of Lancaster and the Precinct of the Savoy appointed at
the General Quarter Session of the Peace holden in and for the said County in
the month of July 1774 by virtue of an act of Parliament passed in the
fourteenth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third entitled
"An Act for the further and better Regulation of Buildings and Party
"Walls and for the more effectually preventing mischiefs by fire within the
"Cities of London and Westminster and the Liberties thereof and other the
"Parishes Precincts and Places within the Weekly Bills of Mortality The
"Parishes of St Maryle bone Paddington St Pancras and St Luke at Chelsea
"in the County of Middlesex and for indemnifying under certain Conditions
"Builders and other persons against the Penalties to which they are or may
"be liable for Erecting Buildings within the limits aforesaid contrary to Law"
lately departed this life in Consequence whereof there is a Vacancy of
Surveyor for the said District It is Ordered that the Election of a
proper person to succeed the said Charles Simes< no role > as Surreyor or
Supervisor of the District aforesaid be by Ballot on Thursday the 11th.
day of January next The Ballot to begin at the hour of One and Close
at Three and that the Clerk of the peace do give public notice thereof to his
Majesty's Justices of the Peace for this County

Resolved that it be and it is hereby referred to the Committee appointed
to carry into immediate and effectual Execution the Repair of New Prison
and Clerkenwell Bridewell To take into Consideration whether any
and what allowance shall be made to Mr Henry Adams< no role > This name instance is in set 1591. the Contracts
for Conveying Vagrants in through and out of this County for his
Extraordinary Trouble and attendance in Receiving and Providing for
Vagrants delivered to his House in pursuance of a Resolution of the said
Committee of the 10th. of November last and further to Consider whether
such Vagrants shall Continue to be delivered to the said Mr Henry
Adams
