The Order of the day being called for Vizt. "That the nomination
of a High Constable for Holborn Division be referred to the acting
Magistrates of that Division and that a return of the different
Candidates with the number of Votes for each be made to the next
Session on the County day for the approbation and Election of the
Justices then present and the following return being read Vizt.

At a Meeting of His Majestys Justices of
the peace for the County of Middlesex acting
in and for Holborn Division held at the
Buffalo Tavern in Bloomsbury in the said
Division on Wednesday the 27th. day of May
1778

The Clerk produced an Order of the General Quarter
Session held at Hicks Hall in Saint John Street on Thursday
the 30th day of April last thereby ordering that the nomination of a
High Constable for Holborn Division be referred to the acting
Magistrates of that Division and that a Return of the different
Candidates with the number of Votes of each be made to the
next Sessions on the County day for the approbation & Election
of the Justices then present which was read
