was payable to the said Richard Akerman< no role > This name instance is in set 4413. as Such Goaler or
Keeper of the said Goal or Prison for the discharge of every such
prisone herein before named Given under my hand, the
Thirteenth day of December in the Year of our Lord 1775

and also Certificates of the like kind for January, February, April
May, July,September, and October, Sessions 1776 and having
informed the Court that Mr. Richard Akerman< no role > the Keeper of [..]
has Majesty's Goal of Newgate had demanded of him the payment
of Thirteen Shillings and four pence for each prisoner mentioned
in such Certificates under and by virtue of the Act of Parliament
passed in the fourteenth Year of the Reign of his present Majesty [..]
'' in totaled "An Act for the Relief of Prisoners charged
''with Felony or other Crimes who shall be Acquitted or discharge
''by proclamation respecting the payment of fees to Goalers and
''giving a Recompence for such fees, out of the County Rates"

It is Ordered that the said Certificates be [..]
and they are hereby referred to the Prison Committee in order that the
said Committee may enquire and consider whether the said Richard
Akerman
< no role > hath any right to the said fee or Sum of Eighteen Shillings
and Ten pence for the discharge of every such prisoner from & out of
his Custody in manner as in the said Certificates's mentioned
and whether this County is obliged to pay unto him the Sum of Thirteen Shillings
and Four pence for every prisoner so discharged as aforesaid and
that they do report their Opinion and proceedings herein on the
County day of the next Session of the peace to be holden for this
County and the said Committee are here by impowered to take to
their assistance such Counsel and persons Carned in the Law no [..]
may need or think necessary and it is ordered that they do meet on
Monday the 14 day of July Inst. as the Guildhall in King Street Westmi [..]
at the hour of Eleven in the forenoon
