that every expence whatsoever attending the Execution of the Act [..]
respects to the Convicts employed upon the Thames would and was to be
born and defrayed by government

The said Committee further Report th [..]
having taken into Consideration the application made by Mr. James
Elmore
< no role > Keeper of New prison at Clerkenwell for the payment of Ten [..]
pounds Ten Shillings being the amount of the Expences incurred by
him in Conveying such Convicts as were Sentenced to hard labour on [..]
River Thames on board the Vessels appointed for their Reception pursua [..]
to the Act of Parliament in that Case and having perused the said Act
and Examined Mr. James Elmore< no role > touching the said Claim and it
appearing that the said demand is reasonable It is the Opinion o [..]
the Committee that the said demand be paid and that Mr. James Elmore< no role >
be Allowed the Sum of Thirty Shillings very Session for conveying such
Convicts on board the said Vessels as shall be sentenced to hard Labour
on the River Thames and that the said allowance of Thirty Shillings a [..]
Session shall in lieu of all other charges that may be incurred in the
Conveyance of the said Convicts and whether the number be large a sma [..]

The said Committee also Report That ha [..]
Examined Mr. Joseph Wood< no role > Contractor for the repairs of New Prison
and Clerkenwell Bridewell and Mr. Rogers the Committees Surveyor
being present and having declared and Certifiyed that the Several Charge [..]
are agreeable to the terms of his Contract the Committee do recommend [..]
that the Court do order the payment of the Sum of £1475..11..3¾
being the balance due to the said Joseph Wood< no role > upon his said
Account

The Committee do also further Report [..]
that as the Womens Court Yard at New Prison hath not since the
Alterations and repairs made in the said prison been paved and that the
same ought to be done and the Committee having Enquired into the
Expence of doing the same and Mr. Brayne the person who performed
the Masons Work in the said Repairs having offered to pave the said
Court Yard in the same manner as the Mens Court Yard in the said
prison at 5s/6d per Yard The Committee ordered Mr. Rogers the Committee [..]
Surveyor forthurth to employ the said Mr. Brayne to pave the said
Court Yard in manner aforesaid
