9th December 1773

Penny for every Cart Load or parcell of Straw brought or to brought
into and Standing to be sold in the said Haymarket to such Person
as already is or shall be appointed by the Justices of the Peace for the
said County of Middlesex and City and Liberty of Westminster for and
towards the Paving repairing and amending the said Haymarket

And whereas by the said Act of Parliament the Person or Persons
collecting and disposing of the Monic by vertue of the said Act ariseing
is Yearly every Easter Sessions to give the Justices of the Peace of the
said County and City and Liberty of Westminster (who are by the said
Act Impowered to require the same) a particular Account upon Oath (which
the said Justices of the Peace are by the said Act Impowered to administer)
of all Monies collected by vertue of the said Act and how the same is or
shall from time to time be disposed of and in case on the Foot of any
such Yearly Account any Monic shall remain undisposed of according
to the true intent of the said Act such remainder shall be disposed of
for the benefit of the said County of Middlesex in such Manner as the
said Justices at such Sessions shall think fit. And Whereas the
East side of the said Haymarket is now paved with good sound Pebble Stones
and the West side of the said Haymarket with Rags and the said John
Wilkins hath proposed to the said Justices of the Peace (being Assembled
in their General Quarter Session for the County of Middlesex for the
Consideration herein after mention'd to repair and pave the west side
of the said Haymarket as the same shall from time to time hereafter
want repairing with good sound Pebble Stones as well as the East side
of the said Haymarket and repair and pave all the said Haymarket with
good sound Pebble Stones and keep the same in good repair in such Manner
as is herein after expressed which said Haymarket is hereby admitted and
agreed to extend in length from the Toll Post at the upper end of the said
Haymarket to the Toll post at the lower End of the said Haymarket
Nine Hundred & forty three Feet And in breadth from the Kennell
running by the Houses on the East side to the Kennell running by the
Houses on the West side Fifty four Feet of Assire be the same more or less.
