former Orders and proceedings of the General Sessions of the Peace for this
County concerning the reparation of the said Bridge This Court doth
think it necessary that a view of the place in Question be had by as
Committee of his Majestys said Justices for the better discovery of the
Truth of the Premises Vizt. to whom it doth of right belong to repair the said
Campshot and doth hereby recommend it to the said Justices to take such
view and to report their proceedings and Opinion at the next General
Quarter Session and to the end that the said place may be viewed by
Seven or more of the said Justices It is Ordered that John Adam Frederick
Hesse, Thomas Owens< no role > , John Shakespear< no role > , Thomas Niccoll< no role > , Saunders Welch< no role >
and Christopher Scott< no role > Esquires and the rest of his Majestys said Justices
be and they are hereby added to the said Committee and it is hereby
recommended and referred to the said Committee to meet at Chertsey
Bridge aforesaid on Saturday the Seventh day of June next by Eleven
OClock for the purposes aforesaid with power to Adjourn as they or
any Seven or more of them shall think fit and Mr. James Jefferson< no role >
Treasurer of this County is hereby Appointed and required to Attend
the said Committee as their Clerk at their meetings and Mr. John
White the Cryer of the Sessions is hereby required to give Notice to every
Justice of the Peace upon the said Committee four days before the
said day of meeting.

Order for taking a Par-
ticular of Repairs Etc. at
Brentford & Chertsey Bridges
and advertizing for Proposals}

Upon reading the Report of the Committee of His Majestys Justices
of the Peace for this County Appointed at the last Session to take a View
of Chertsey Bridge and of the abutment and Wharf mentioned in the
Order annexed to the said Report (Which report is this day unanimously
confirmed by this Court) It is Ordered that it be and it is hereby recommended
and referred to Boulton Mainwaring< no role > Esquire One of the said Justices and
he is hereby desired to take a view of what repairs are necessary to be
done to the said Bridge and the Bank above it (on the Middlesex side)
the breadth of the Kings highway pursuant to the above report and make
a particular thereof and also to make a particular of what shall be necessary
to be done for making an Additional foot path annext to the south side
of Brentford Bridge and leave the same with the Clerk of the Peace of
this County for the further direction of the Court thereupon And that the said
Clerk of the Peace or his Deputy do on receipt of such particulars cause an
advertizement to be published for proposals of Workmen for the doing of such
Repairs and work as shall be found requisite and for keeping the same
in good substantial repair for a term of seven years.
