Majestys said Justices or any three or more of them (the
said Mr. Clitherow & Mr. Mainwaring to be two) to meet
together at such times & places as they see fit and to Order and
direct the said matters to be Executed and finished in a
workman like manner at the charge of this County by
skilfull workment & to make their Report of what they
shall so do or cause to be done at the next General Qur.
Session of the Peace for this County on the County day of
the same Session

Chertsey Bridge.

Whereas at the last General Quarter Session of the Peace
holden for the County of Middx a Presentment was made by
the Grand Jury that a certain part of the County Bridge
commonly called Chertsey Bridge situate in the Parish of
Littleton in the said County of Middlesex then was and for
sometime past had been in decay and want of reparation for
That that part of the same Bridge on the Middlesex side
was fallen into the River and the whole Abutment in danger
of being wasted away and that there were several other
defects & wants of repair and that the passage over the
Middx end of the said Bridge required to be new gravelled
The Consideration of which Presentment was Adjourned
till this day It is now Ordered that it be and it is hereby
recommended and referred to John Hawkins< no role > Esqr . Sir John
