Weald Appointed High
Constable in gore Hundred
in the room of John Gurney< no role > }

Upon reading the Petition of John Gurney< no role > one of the High Constables
within the Hundred of Gore setting forth that he hath served the Office of
High Constable for the said Hundred from Midsummer 1763 and having
much business to do in the Farming way which has been very much
neglected by his necessary Attendance on the said Office and having a
large Family to support Therefore prayed to be discharged from the said
Office And this Court being satisfied in the Premisses Doth Appoint
Joseph Weedon< no role > of Harrow Weald in the Parish of Harrow Gentleman to be
High Constable within the said Hundred in the stead and place of the said
John Gurney< no role > and doth Order that the said Joseph Weedon< no role > on Notice
hereof do forthwith Attend one of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for
this County residing in or near the said Hundred and take his Oath for
the due Execution of the said Office and that when and after the said
Joseph Weedon< no role > shall have taken his said Oath the said John Gurney< no role > is
to stand absolutely discharged from the said Office.

in Gore bund in the stead
of John Ventum< no role > gone
out of the County.}

Whereas it is represented unto this Court by William Hallett< no role > John Rudge< no role >
and John Crosse< no role > Esquires there of his Majestys Justices of the Peace of the said
County of Middlesex that John Ventum of the Parish of Great Stanmore in
the Hundred of gore in the said County Gentleman was about April last
appointed one of the High Constables of the said Hundred of gore and that
the said John Ventum< no role > is now gone to reside at St. Peters Chalfont in the
County of Bucks and this Court being satisfyed in the Premisses Doth
appoint Michael Coomes of Hendon in the said Hundred of Gore Gentleman
to be High Constable within the said Hundred in the Stead and place of the
said John Ventum and doth Order that the said Michael Coomes< no role > on Notice
hereof do forthwith Attend one of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for this
County residing in or near the said Hundred and take his Oath for the
due Execution of the said Office.
