had viewed the Said Bridge and examined the Materials thereunto
belonging they were of Opinion that the Said Bridge ought to be
forthwith repaired, And It was agreed & resolved to proceed upon
the repairs thereof forthwith, And also further agreed in order to
make the Bridge more Strong as well as more commodious and
Safe for Foot & Horse Passengers, to draw up one Pile from the
lower Side of the Bridge in each Tire from the 4th. Row on each
Side, and to drive one new Gile in the upper Side of each of the
Said Tires, and to drive Angle Piles in the upper and lower Side
of the two Middle or great Piers to be well braced & planked, And
the Said Committee for the County of Middx by their Said Report
do Certify that it is their Opinion that the Justices Should buy
the Piles, Joists, and Planking and other Timber to be used in
the repairing the Middx part of the Said Bridge, And that no
old timber be made use of except in the Brest work of the Said
Bridge , And that the workmanship of the Said Bridge Should be
executed & performed by Contract, This Court upon reading the
Said Report doth Ratify and Confirm the Same, And doth Order
that it be And it is hereby recomended unto the Said Comittee
of Justices mentioned in the Said Order of the twenty third day
February last (to wit) Thomas Lane< no role > esquire Sir Thomas De Veil< no role >

other Justices of the peace of this County as will please to be present
on this Occasion or any three or more of them to buy the Piles, Joists
and Planking, and other timber to be used in the repairing the
Middx part of the Said Bridge, and to direct that no old timber be
made use of except in the Brest work of the Said Bridge, And to employ
and take a Contract from Such Workman or Workmen for the
repairing the Same, in a good Substantial & workmanlike
Manner, and at Such reasonable price as the Said Committee
Shall think fit, And to appoint Such person or persons to be
Surveyor or Surveyors of the work to be done & performed as
