Order for Mr. Higgs the
County Treasurer to pay
£44..12s to Mr. Henry
Wallbanck Keeper of the
House of Correction at
Clerkenwell for passing
& releiving Vagabonds
until the 26th. day of
May 1742 inclusive}

A Report being made unto this Court, Oretenus, by Nathaniel
Chandler Exqr. That he together with Francis Hole< no role > & John
Elliott Esquires being a Quorum of the Committee of his
Majesty's Justices of the peace of this County for inspecting &
adjusting the publick Accounts of the Said County have
perused the Account of Mr. Henry Wallbanck< no role > Keeper of the
House of Correction at Clerkenwell in the Said County for the
Passing & releiving of Vagabonds beginning the twenty first
day of April one thousand Seven hundred and forty two and
ending the twenty Sixth day of May in the Same year, and that
they have examined the Said Account with the Vouchers, And
that there is due and owing to the Said Henry Wallbanck< no role >
upon the Said Account the Sum of forty four pounds and
twelve Shillings for the passing & releiving of Vagabonds
This Court doth agree with the Said Committee And thereupon
doth direct and Order Mr. John Higgs< no role > Treasurer of the Said
County to pay the Said Sum to the Said Henry Wallbanck< no role > in full
of his Said demand to the twenty Sixth day of May
aforesaid [..] inclusive, And that the Said Sum be allowed
to the Said Treasurer upon his Account.

Order for Committee to
meet to consult about
preventing a Footway
or Passage near the
Corporation workhouse
from being used as a
comon way for coaches
carts or other carriages}

Complaint being made unto this Court that Several
persons have of late attempted to cause an antient Footway
or Passage leading from the House of Correction at Clerkenwell
in the County of Middx to the further corner of the Corporation
workhouse at Clerkenwell aforesaid being part of the Estate
belonging to the Said County and from thence to Some other
houses to be made use of as a comon or publick way for
coaches carts & other carriages to pass & repass along the
Same; which is very inconvenient to Foot Passengers and
may be prejuducial to the Said Estate belonging to the Said
County if not prevented, It is Ordered by this Court that it be
And It is hereby recomended and referred unto the Committee
of his Majesty< no role > 's Justices of the peace for the Said County appointed
to State & adjust the publick accounts of the Same County and
Particularly unto Thomas Lane< no role > Esquire Sr. Joseph Ayloff< no role > Houlding
