His Majesty< no role > 's Justices of the peace for the County of Middx
now assembled at this present General Sessions of the peace
holden for the Said Country Do elect and continue Thomas
Lane Esquire to be Chairman of the General Quarter and
General Sessions of the peace to be holden for the Same
County between Easter one thousand Seven hundred and
forty two and Michaelmas then next ensueing.

Order concerning Workmen
employed to rebuild
Brentford Bridge }

Information being given unto this Court that the Workmen
employed to rebuild a publick Bridge called Brentford Bridge
in this County have been and are very remiss and negligent
in not forwarding & carrying on the work in Order to
compleat & finish the Said Bridge as they ought to have
done, It is Ordered by this Court that the Said workmen
do forthwith proceed to compleat leat & finish the rebuilding
the Said Bridge, And that they be acquainted that if the
temporary Bridge erected for persons to pass & repass
with horses coaches carts & carriages over the River Brent
whilst Brentford Bridge is rebuilding, Shall want to
be continued & repaired by reason of their negligence in
not compleating & finishing the rebuilding of the Said
publick Bridge called Brentford Bridge , the charges of
repairing the Said temporary Bridge or otherwise occasioned
by their Said negligence Shall be deducted of the money
which was to be paid them by the Sessions for & on account of
rebuilding Brentford Bridge .
