other performances of the Stage, and do still continue
the same whereby a great Concourse of Idle disorderly
persons have at several times within the Space of
Eleven days last past frequented & gathered together &
resorted to the Booths & Buildings aforesaid To the
great Disturbance of the kings peace, And the said
Grand Jury have also presented That John Yates< no role > of
the parish of St. Luke in the said County Yeoman on
the Fourth day of May Instant & divers others days &
times at the same parish & County did beep & maintain
a Certain Booth & Building for the Acting Plays,
Interludes & other performannces of the Stage, & did [..]
& the said other days & times cause & procuse great Numbers
of Idle & disorderly persons to Assemble & gather together
near unto the said Booth & Building in a riotous and
tumultuous manner To the great terror & danger as
well as the Comon Nusance of all the kings Subjects,
And Whereas the Players of Interludes at any of the
said Booths or other Buildings are deemed & declared
Rogues and Vagabonds, and the Acting of such Interludes
Plays or Drolls are Contrary to Law, & do manifestly and
directly tend to the encouragement of Vice & Immortality,
& to the Debauching & ruinning of Servants, Apprentices &
others, and also to the Disturbance of the Publique peace
by Occasioning Quarrells, riots turnults & other disorders,
This Court upon Consideration of the Promises Doth for
preventing such Mischeifs for the future, Order that the
respective High Constables of Finsbury Division and
the Tower Division in the said County do forthwith Issue
forth their precepts respectively to the respective petty
Constables & Headboroughs of the respective parishes and
places in their respective Divisions in which the said
place called Moor Fields doth lye (somepart thereof being
in Finsbury Division & other part thereof being in the
Tower Division aforesaid) requiring them in Case any of
