Order appointing a
Committee to take a
View of Such part of
Chertsea Bridge as is
in Middx . And to See
if any and what
repairs are wanting
& necessary to be done
thereto Etc}

Information haveing been given to this Court that Some
repaires are wanting & necessary to be done to Such part of a
publick Bridge called Chertsea Bridge as is in this County, This
Court being of opinion that it is requisite that a view Should
be taken of the aforesaid part of the Said Bridge by Some of his
Maties Justices of the peace for the Said County for the better
ascertaining what repaires are really wanting & necessary
to be done thereto and the costs & charges of doing the
Said repaires, and to prevent any imposition upon this
County in relation thereto Doth Order that it be And His
hereby recomended and referred unto Sr. Thomas Reynell< no role >
Bart . Sr . Francis Child< no role > Knt. James Clitherow< no role > Robert Hinde< no role >
Robert Moreton< no role > Charles Bere< no role > Richard Bulstrode< no role > John
Tarver and Gilbert East< no role > Esqrs . nine of his Maties Justices of the
peace for the Said County or any three or more of them as a
Committee to take a view of the aforesaid part of the Said
Bridge , And to take to their assistance Such able Workman
or Workmen as they Shall think fit, And to See and take an
account in [..] writing of what repaires are wanting
and necessary to be done thereto, and to make an
estimate of what in their Judgment it will cost well and
Sufficiently to repaire the Same, and to find and provide
timber, Stone, Iron, gravel & other materials for that
purpose, and what quantity thereof is necessary to be found,
& provided in that behalf, And also to take a View of the
Campshot or wharf adjoyning to or near the aforesaid
part of the Said Bridge, And to See if any and what part
of the Said Compshot or wharf belongs to this County to
repaire and is necessary to be repaired for the better
Security & preservation of the Said Bridge, and what the
repaire thereof with the timber and other materials in
that behalf necessary will in their opinion amount
unto, And to make their Report in writing touching the
premisses to the Court of the next General Quarter Session
of the peace to be holden for this County, to the End Such
further Order may be made as the Court shall think fit
