Farwell Esqrs . Justices of the peace for this County or any three
or more of them as a Committee to assemble & meet together
at Such times and places as they Shall in this behalfe
appoint, And to inquire and examine what parishes,
hamlets & places within the respective Hundreds &
Divisions in this County have paid the moneys assessed on
them respectively by the Said Rate as their quota or proportion
for & towards raiseing the Said Sum of two hundred pounds
for the repairing Brentford Bridge aforesaid And also to
inquire what parishes, hamlets & places have not paid their
quota or proportion assessed on them by the Said Rate for the
purpose aforesaid, and for what reason the Same is unpaid,
And further to inquire if the raiseing & collecting the moneys
assessed as aforesaid hath been hindred or obstructed in the Said
parishes hamlets and places or any of them, and by whom,
or by what ways or meanes, For the discovery whereof It is
further Ordered by this Court that the respective high
Constables in this County do forthwith diligently inquire
in the Several parishes, hamlets & places within their
respective Districts into the truth of the matters aforesaid,
And that they do respectively attend the Said Justices of the
peace or any three of them at Such times & places as they
Shall in that behalf appoint with an account in writing of
what parishes, hamlets & places within their respective
Districts have paid the moneys assessed on them by the Said
Rate, and to whom, and what parishes, hamlets & places
have not paid the moneys thereby assessed on them, and for
what reason or pretence, and also with an account of what
obstruction (if any) hath been given in the Said parishes,
hamlets & places within their respective Districts, and by
whom, or by what ways or meanes, to hinder the raiseing
or collecting of the moneys assessed on them by the Said
Rate for the purpose aforesaid, And Such person or persons
as can make it appeare that any obstruction hath been
given to hinder the raiseing of the Said moneys are (upon
notice to be to them in this behalf given by the high
Constable) together with Such high Constable to attend the
Said Justices of the peace or any three of them at Such times
& places as they Shall appoint as aforesaid to be examined
before them touching the premisses, And notice of the
Meetings of the Said Committee of Justices for the purposes
aforesaid is to be given to all the Said Justices of the peace .
