Whereas by an Order made at the last General sessions of the
peace holden for this County by adjornment on Thursday the
ninth day of December last The Bill of costs of Mr. John Higgs< no role > for
busyness by him done and transacted, and Councells fees, and
other expences by him defrayed on behalfe of this County in
making a defence against a prosenecon carryed on by Thomas
Robe & John Mathews< no role > Esqrs . Clerk of the Market of the Kings
Household upon an Judictment by them preferred against
Richard Norwood< no role > Gent high Constable within the Hundred of
Elthorne in this County in relacon to the said Office of Clerk of
the market, and alsoe in the defence of an accon at Law by
them comenced against him in relacon to fees by them
claymed by colour of the said office, and alsoe in the
Supporting of Several Orders of Sessions recovered by vertue
of a writt of Certirari into the Court of Kings Beuch,
was referred to the consideracon of the Comittee of his maties
Justices of the peace of this County appointed to take the
Treasurer 's accounts, who were by the Said Order desired to
inspect the said Bill of costs, and to make a Report of it unto
this Court on this present Thursday the thirteenth day of
January instant being the County day, and whereas

Esqrs . three of his Maties Justices of the peace of this County
being a Quarum of the said Committee have by their Report
in writing under their hands Certifyed into this Court That
in pursuance of the Said Order they have inspected the said
Mr. Higg's Bill of costs & vouchers for busyness done for this
County to them referred, and that they have examined &
pernsed the said Bill & vouchers for the Several Items in the
Said Bill, And that they are of opinion that the Said Bill is
reasonable, which Said Bill amounts to eighty nine
pounds & eighteen Shillings, And that they find that the
Said Higgs has reced in part Fifty one pounds eleven
Shillings & eight pence, which reduces the Said Sume of
eighty nine pounds & eighteen Shillings to thirty eight
pounds Six shillings & four pence, which remains due from
this County to Mr. Higgs on the ballance of the Said
account, This Court upon reading and consideracon had
