said Market And it is further declared to be the opinion of the said
Justices now present in Quarter Sessions that noe person or persons
are obliged or Compellable to have any of their Weights or
Measures Marked or Sealed by the Clerk of the Market unless they
shall think fitt and desire to have the same Sealed or Marked
accordingly for their own Security or Satisffaction, And in Case th [..]
they shall think fit and desire to have the [..] Sealed or Marked
[..] not desire or agree to the same, that in such Case the Clerk of the
Market has noe power or Authority to demand receive or exact any
Fee whatsoever from them, And it is also the opinion of this Court
That the Clerk of the Market of the Kings household for the time
being his Deputy or Servant is to carry his Standard Weights and
Measures to the dwelling houses Shops or Stalls of such persons as [..]
or sell by weight or measure in their respective Trades or Callings
in Order to view and examine the same And that noe persons
whatsoever are obliged or Compellable to carry or send any
weights or measures to any Office House or Place to be appointed
for that purpose by the said Clerk of the Market But this Court is
likewise of opinion that the said Clerk of the Market where he
finds any fasse Weights or Measures used in trade or Dealings
may seise breake or otherwise destroy the same And may sumon
a Jury or Juries and let such fines on the Offenders as are proper
and reasonable and agreeable to Law, And it is further Ordered
by this Court that a copy of this Order be sent to every Division
in this County.

Order for appointing Mr.

Constable of Holborne
Division in the roome
of Mr. James Sharpless< no role > }

Whereas James Sharpless< no role > Gents high Constable of Holborne
Division within the Hundred of Ossulston in this County hath Served
the said Office for the space of three years & upwards, This Court doth
appoint Alexander Clarke< no role > of the Liberty of Saffron hill Hatton
Garden & Eliz Rents within the said Division & Hundred in this
County Gent to be high Constable of Holborne Division aforesaid
in the room & place of the said James Sharpless< no role > , And doth Order
that the said Alexander Clarke< no role > doe Attend this Court at Hicks Hall
in St. John Street in this County on Tuesday the first day of June
next at eleven of the clock in the forenoon, and take his Oath for
his due execucon of the Office of high Constable of Holborne
Division aforesaid, And from & after the time of his haveing
taken such Oath the said James Sharpless< no role > is to Stand dicharged
from his said Office of high Constable.

Upon reading the humble peticon of John Walcot< no role > high Constable
of Istleworth Hundred in this County exhibited unto this Court
settingforth that for three Years last past he hath executed the
Office of high Constable within the said Hundred, And that his
own affaires requiring him to be very much from home, and
the executing the said Office being of great detriment to
