Order for Confirming the
Report of the Comittee
touching the repairing of
Hicks Hall Etc and for
paymt. of Moneys by Sr.
Daniel Dolius< no role > to several
Workmen.}

Upon reading a Report bearing date this twenty sixth day of May
instant under the hands of Sr. Daniel Dolius< no role > St. John Gonson< no role > Knts .
John Milner< no role > This name instance is in set 4214. Alexander Ward< no role > and Joseph Hayne< no role > Esqrs Justices
of the peace for the County of Middx being of the Committe
appointed by two severall orders of Court (Vizt.) the one made in
February Sessions 1722 and the other in July Sessions 1723
concerning the repaireing of the Sessions house of this County
called Hicks Hall in St. John Street in the said County and Offices
thereto belonging, and the altering and enlargeing the Court,
and makeing additionall buildings to the said house, and for the
providing of tables , chaires, curtaines, and other Furniture for the
said Sessions house fit for the accomodation of the Justices of the
peace of this County, and for directing the payment of such Sumes
of Money as the said Comittee should think requisite to be
advanced for the purposes aforesaid,

It appeareth to this Court that the whole demand of the
Workmen for repairing the said Sessions house and makeing the
additionall buildings and alterations thereto, including therein
as well the worke done by contract as other worke, amounted in the
whole to the Sume of £988:16s:8d. And that the said Sr. Daniel
Dolius hath paid by direction of the Comittee to severall Workmen
named in the said Report severall Sumes of Money amounting
together to £526:12s:0d: and to other Workmen in the said
Report menconed severall other Sumes of Money amounting
together to £34:16s:9d: And that divers of the Workmen have made
abatements out of their demands to the amount of £41:7s:11d: Soe
that there is now resting due to severall Workmen herein after named
on account of the said repaires additionall buildings and alterations
severall sumes of money mentioned in the said Report and
herein after specified amounting together to the Sume of
£386:0s:0d: (Vizt.)
