and £115:9s: amount in the whole to the Sume of £676:17s:9d:
And there being now resting due to the abovenamed William

John Woodall< no role > the respective Sumes of Money above mentioned
amounting in the whole to the said Sume of £386:-Wee humbly
pray the direction of the Court touching the payment of the same

Your Committee before they Conclude think themselves oblig'd to observe
with Regard to the great Sume these Repaires amount to beyond what
was computed or expected, That in their Examination of the Workmens
Bills, they could not have the satisfaction they hoped for, as to the
Resonableness of them, Nor whether their Contract and Day worke
were rightly distinguished, or the £65 agreed to be allow'd for Old
Materialls, made good to the Comission by reason of the long sickness
and Death of Sr. Thomas Hewett< no role > who was cheif lyed on, and had
imployed two persons under him to inspect measure and value the
worke, and to see Justice done to the Comission, but instead of doing
us any service, or discovering any Fraud or Error, or makeing any
abatement of the demand and upon us they Certify'd under their hands
for every Workman in every particular as charged by them in
their severall Bills, tho' severall of the Workmen have thought
fit to consent to large Abatements.
