Who being upon Oath saith that the beginning
of January 1786 the Person now present who
calls himself Benjamin Gregsons< no role >
came to
this Informants House in Norton Falgate
and
Look'd out Two Watches of the value of Twenty
eight Pounds and in Payment for the
same published to this Informant the Bill
of Exchange now produced Purporting to be
the Bill of Exchange of Benjamin Gregson< no role >
on John Buckley< no role >
Esquire
No. 266 Bermondsey
Street Borough For the Payment of Thirty Pounds
to the order of the said Benjamin Gregson< no role >

Months after date dated London December
14th. 1785 and Purporting to be accepted by the
said Buckley That the said Gregson told this
Informant that Mr. Buckley on Whom the Bill
was drawn was a Capital Woolstapler in
Bermondsey
Street and as a Voucher of the
validity of the acceptance of said Bill of Exchange
said Gregson producd to this Informant at
the same time the Letter now produced
Purporting to be a Letter from said Mr. Buckley
to this Informant That he hath since inquired
of said Mr. Buckley whether the acceptance of
the said Bill of Exchange in his acceptance
which he has denied
