Saith that on Monday the Seventh day of May Instant
Richard Rickard< no role >
and John Rockwall< no role >
two Officers of Excise,
told him that they had Information of a Cart and Horses with
run Ford being at the Leather Bottle Ann at Nathfleet
in the
County of Kent
and desired this [..] Informant and his Son John
Beadle
to go along to assist them in the Seizure and having
arrived at the Inn this Informant called out the Landlord
and acquainted him of there Information and of there being
then Run Goods in the Cart Met the Land lord told him he
might go and demand the Key of the Hostler of the Outhouse
or Chaise House where the Cart was that the Hostler told
him he had no Key and on the Officers Oping to the place
Found the Door unlocked and about a Ten Weight of Tabacco
in Bass
on which the Officer, of the Custom and Excise
there present sized the same and having procured two
Horses to draw the suzire by Agreement to Greenlaith
and every thing being Ready for that purpose the Landlord
of the Inn came to this Informant and told him that
two Gentlemen in the House wanted to speake
