Who being on Oath saith that about February
or March 1786 a Person now Present who calls
himself Benjamin Gregson< no role >
came to this
Informants House at the White Bear
Inn
in Basinghall Street
and Published to him
the Bill of Exchange now Produced Purporting
to be the Bill of Exchange of John Creswell< no role >
on Messrs. Murfill Son & Compy. Leeds Yorkshire
for the Payment of Ten Pounds to the order of
John Hibbard Forty days after date and dated
Manchester
January 14th. 1786 and Purporting to
be Indorsed by John Buckley< no role >
of Bermondsey
Street that said Gregson brought with him
at the same time a Letter as from the said John
Buckley requesting this Informant would Cash
said Bill for said Gregson That from Inquiry since
made he is very sure that the acceptance of John
Buckley to said Bill of Exchange is a Forgery and
that the Letter which he produced from said John
Buckley was also a Forgery and Further says the
verily believes that the said Gregson Feloniously
published the said Bill with the said Forged
Indorsement with an intention to defraud that
Informant.
