The Informations of Solomon Phillips< no role > of
Rosemary Lane Whitechapel Reader of the Hamboro Synagogue
in Fenchurch Street London and Abraham Harris< no role > of Gravel
Lane Hounsditch Labourer who upon their Oaths severally say
And First this Informant Solomon Phillips for himself saith
that on Monday last the twenty sixth of March instant the
Prisoner David Levi< no role > came into the Hall in Duke's Place where
this Informant hath the Custody and Distribution of the Flour
intended to be given to the Poor of the said Synagogue and
Asked if he was to have any Flour upon which this Informant
told him he had then no Orders from the Treasurer to deliver him
any but he should see the Treasurer that Evening and would
give him his Answer if he would call the next Morning
And this Informant Saith that the Prisoner soon afterwards
returned again to the Hall when the Informant Abraham Harris< no role >
was present And these Informants Solomon Phillips and
Abraham Harris< no role > both say that the said David Levi then
shut the Hall Door and drew out a Hanger and with many
Imprecations declared he would have Flour and that if any
body opposed him he would cut and hack them to Pieces and
would destroy all the Four, and this Informant Solomon
Phillips thereupon ran out for Assistance to secure him And
this Informant Abraham Harris< no role > for himself Saith that
being left alone with the Prisoner (excepting only this
nformant's Son a Lad of Fourteen Years of Age) and
intimated with his Weapon and Threats he made no resistance
but let him use: his Pleasure; whereupon the Prisoner
weighed out for himself Four Pecks of Flour which he put
into his Sack which he had brought with him and carried the
