into a Public House in Saint Catherine's and soon
afterwards he this Informants was taken into Custody
at the Instance of Harris and this Informant asked
Harris what it was for & Egan desired the Constable
to produce his Warrant wherefusing so to do Egan
advised this Informant not to go unless the Warrant
[..] thereupon the Constable took this In [..]
by the Collar & led him away to the Watch House
and he was Carried before the Justice next Morning
this Informant further saith that Egan told this
Informant he got the Probate of the Will from One
Summers who is either in the Poultry or Wood Street
Compter & that it was delivered to him by One Hart
of Portsmouth and this Informant Upon his
Oath further saith that the said Joseph Egan< no role > is
the Person who did Procure and Pursuade him
to personate and take upon him the Name of John
Murphy as Administrator Named in the said
Will of Thomas Banks< no role > late or Serman on Board
two Majesty's Ship Stirling Castle which will
is now charged to be forged and Counterfeit and
verily believes the said Joseph Egans< no role > knew the
same to be forged and Counterfast as he Persuaded
this Informant to Utter and Publish the same
in Order to receive & Obtain the said Wages then
due to the said Thomas Bankes< no role >
