taken upon
Oath the 13th. Day of March
1786
Saith that the Prisoners Oliver has lived with
him this Examinant as a Servant
Two years and upwards
and that the said Oliver has left him this Examinant about
Six Weeks, and that the said Oliver has been at this Exami-
-nant's Shop since several Times in an Afternoon and
once or Twice within these three Weeks last past, That the
said Oliver has not been absent a whole Daysincefrom
this Examinant's House since the said Oliver left this
Examinant's Service. That the said Oliver quitted the
Service of this Examinant on account of him this
Examinant desiring to lower the Wages of him the said
Oliver. That since the said Oliver left the Service of him
this Examinant the said Oliver has borrowed of him this
Examinant Ten Guineas for which a Note was given,
That he this Examinant did not ask the said Oliver, for what
purpose he the said Oliver borrowed the Money of him
this Examinant. That he this Examinant has often seen
the Prisoners Green and Howlett Modd to, and heard them
speak to the said Oliver. That he this Examinant has
heard that the said Green and Howlett were Sharpers
before Oliver left the Service of this Examinant. That he
this Examinant has often sent the said Oliver to the Bull
and Gate. That Examinant gave the said Olive (during the
Time the said Oliver lived as a Servant
with him this
Examinant) a Guinea per Week, and that the said Oliver
had no Demand, upon this Examinant when he left the
Examinant's Service, Examinant doth not suppose the
said Oliver had saved any Thing in this Examinant's
Service.
