The Information of Adam
Wragg taken before Me Thomas Wright< no role > Esqr.
Mayor of the City of London and one of this Majesty
Justices of the Peace for the said City this Twenty fourth
Day of March 1786 .

Saith that the Acquaintance of him this Informant
with the Two Jews Barnard Hyams< no role > and Samuel Benjamin
commenced about Eight Months ago at Holborn Hill when
one of them asked Informant if he would buy a Hat, and
that Informant replied he did not want one, That the said
Hyams and Benjamin then sayd if he this Informant liked
either of their Hate they would exchange with him this In-
-formant for any kind of Goods. That Informant met the
said Hyams and Benjamin again, and agreed to carry them
two Silk Handkerchiefs, which Informant valued about Nine
Shillings, and received for the said two Handkerchiefs one Hat of the
said Hyams and Benjamin. That they the said Hyams and
Benjamin sayd they were Brothers andtheone of them sayd
to Informant I suppose you live at a Shop or Warehouse
and wished to know if Informant could get any more Goods
and that He would buy them of this Informant and give
for them a good Price. That about five Days after Infor-
mant took to the said Hyams and Benjamin two other Hand-
-kerchiefs and received for the same five Shillings, and that the
said Hyams and Benjamin asked Informant to bring Some
-thing of greater Value, and sayd to Informant that Several
Young Men from Shops and Warehouses did So, and that
they the said Hyams and Benjamin always sent the same
abroad. That the said Hyams and Benjamin asked this Infor-
-mant what Goods Informant's Master dealt in, but she said
