WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto Us, two

's Justices of the Peace
for the City of
London and Liberties thereof, one being of the Quorum, by
the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish of Saint Botolph Bishopgate
London, That
Sarah Wood< no role >
Singlewoman
and
her illegitimate Child named
Elizabeth aged< no role >
One Year and upwards had
lately come to reside in their said Parish, not having obtain'd
any legal Settlement there, and are likely to become charge-
able thereto, unless timely prevented, which Complaint We
the said Justices, upon due Proof made thereof, as well upon
the Oath of the said Sarah as otherwise, do
adjudge to be true; and we do also adjudge the last legal
Settlement of the said Sarah
to be in the said Parish of Saint Paul at Shadwell
and that thitherto she ought by Law to be sent.

London, forthwith to remove and convey the said Sarah
Wood and her said illegitimate Child for Nurture
from and out of your said Parish, unto the said Parish of
Saint Paul at Shadwell
in the County of
Middlesex
And them deliver unto the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor there, or to some or one of them, together with this
our Order who is and are hereby required to receive and pro-
vide for them according to Law. Given under our Hands
and Seals, this fifth Day of July One Thousand
Seven Hundred and Eighty three.
