Poor of the Parish of Saint Giles Cripplegate
in the City of London , and the
Church-Wardens and Overseers of the
Poor of the Parish of Saint Mary at
Whitechapel in the County of Middlesex
and to every of them.

WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto Us, two
of His Majesty< no role > 's Justices of the Peace for the City of
London and Liberties thereof, one being of the Quorum, by
the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish of Saint Giles Cripplegate
London, That Mary< no role > the Widow of James
Hard castle
< no role > and her two Children namely
Elizabeth< no role > aged Seven Years and upwards and
William< no role > aged Five Years and upwards, had
lately come to reside in their said Parish, not having obtain'd
any legal Settlement there, and are likely to become charge
able thereto, unless timely prevented, which Complaint We
the said Justices, upon due Proof made thereof, as well upon
the Oath of the said Mary as otherwise, do
adjudge to be true; and we do also adjudge the last legal
Settlement of the said Mary
to be in the said Parish of Saint Mary at Whitechapel
and that thitherto the ought by Law to be sent.

These are therefore in His Majesty< no role > 's Name to will and
require you the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the said Parish of Saint Giles Cripplegate
London, forthwith to remove and convey the said Mary
Hard castle and her Said Children
from and out of your said Parish, unto the said Parish of
Saint Mary at Whitechapel in the County
of Middlesex
And her deliver unto the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor there, or to some or one of them, together with this
our Order, who is and are hereby required to receive and pro-
vide for them according to Law. Given under our Hands
and Seals, this 2d. Day of [..] October One Thousand
Seven Hundred and Eighty three
