London to wit

The joint and several Informations of
James Quin< no role > , Porter to Messieurs John Greaves< no role > ,
Thomas Warner< no role > and Richard Hall< no role > of Mark Lane
London , Grocers , Thomas Hart< no role > also a Servant there, and
of the said John Greaves< no role > and of William Denham< no role >
the Younger of Foster Lane , London Ironmonger
Who being on Oath severally say, And first the
said James Quin< no role > for himself saith, that on Wednesday
Evening last about seven O'Clock, he was sent with
a Parcel to the Saracens Head Inn, Friday Street ,
to go by the Exeter Waggen; says, that in the
Gateway of the said Inn, to met a well dressed Man
who asked him who he wanted Informant answer
Russels Waggon< no role > the unknown Person told Informant
the Book keeper was gone home but that he was an
Acquaintance of his, and would shew him to
Informant the Man and Informant walked
together into Goldsmith Street, and there he saw
John Penny< no role > the Prisoner now under Examination
standing under a Lamp The Stranger who had
walked with Informant, and told him the Prisoner
ways the Book keeper Informant believing the
Prisoner to be the Book keeper delivered the
Parcel to him, and Prisoner asked Informant if
he paid the booking of it Informant said No,
that he had a Book in his Pocket to be signed
Informant was taking the Book out, of his Pocket.
when he saw the Prisoner give the Parcel to the
Stranger Informant asked the Prisoner if it was
safe to give the Parcel to the other Man
Prisoner answered it was very safe the
Prisoner immediately run towards Goldsmith's
Hall Informant cried Stop thief, and Followed
the Prisoner, who was afterwards apprehended

And the said Thomas Hart< no role > for
himself saith, that he packed up Nuttinegs Mace< no role >
and Cinnamon, of the Oglue of ten Pounds and
upwards, in the said Parcel, and saw the same
delivered to the other Informant James Quin< no role >
