At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Lord the Kingholden
for the City of London at the Guildhall within the said City on Tuesday the
Eighth day of January in the twenty Second Year of the Reign four
Sovereign Lord< no role > George the third King of Great Britain Etc

Whereas Henry West< no role > an Inhabitant of the Parish of Saint Mildred
in the Poultry London hath exhibited his petition and Appeal unto this
Court Setting forth that by a Rate and Assessment made for one whole Year
for the said Parish of Saint Mildred in the Poultry commencing the Twenty
fifth day of March last past, and ending the twenty fifth day of March now
next ensuing The Petitioner was charged and assessed the sum of Ten pounds
and four shillings as his Share and proportion towards the said Rate
And that the Petitioner conceived the said Charge and assessment of Ten
pounds and four shillings to be illegally partially, and unequally assessed
upon him and considerably more than by Law he ought to pay The Petitioner
therefore appealed against the said Rate and Assessment and humbly
pre [..] that this Court would take his Case unto Consideration and grant
[..] seem [..]
Request of the Petitioner It is Ordered that the Benefit of the said
Appeal be saved unto him and that the hearing and Determination thereof be
and the same is hereby adjourned unto the next General Session of
the peace to be holden for the said City at the Guildhall aforesaid on
Monday the eighteenth day of February next at eight of the Clock
in the Morning and that due Notice thereof be given to the Church
Wardens and Overseers of the poor of the said Parish of Saint Mildred
in the poultry .
