for himself saith, that on Wednesday Evening
last, he was in his Compting House, and heard
the Cry of Stop Thief-Informant instantly run
out, and saw the Prisoner running down from
Gutter Lane< no role > into Carey Lane , calling out Stop
Thief-there was then no Person before the
Prisoner -As the Prisoner was turning the
Corner into Foster Lane , Informant seized and
detained him-Quin came up immediately and
charged the Prisoner with taking away the
Parcel, and he then said, he could swear to him
the Prisoner denied the Charge and said he was
running in pursuit of a Thief
