this 11th October 1781
Saith that about Eight o'Clock this Morning the Prisoner
Sarah Limpus< no role >
came into Informants Masters Shop in
Holborn
aforesaid and asked to see some Silk Handkerchiefs
which he shewed her, that the Prisoner offered Money for some
of them, but considerably Ass than they ever worth which led
Informant to suspect her. That during the time Informant
and the Prisoner were talking about the Prices of the Handkerchiefs
he observed her conveying the Handkerchiefs now produced under
her cloaths and immediately go out That Informant
pursued her and brought her back into the Shop and upon
searching her the Handkerchief [..] were found under her
Petticoats.
