day of November last there were Shipped or Loaded on Board the said Ship
or Vessel one Thousand Two Hundred and Eighty Bushels or Thirty two
Tons of English white Salt at Lyennington in the County of Hants in
Order to be conveyed by Sea to the Port of London
for and on account of

the Owner of the said Salt and that
the Duties for the said Salt had been paid to His Majesty and those
Deponents further say that on or about the Twenty seventh day of the same
Month of November the said Ship or Vessel with the said salt on Board
her Sailed from Lynnington
aforesaid for the Port of London
and that in the
Course of her Voyage on the same day a Violent storm arose venseer
Beachy Head and the Isle of White which caused the said Ship or
Vessel to Spring a Leak and the said Ship or Vessel filled so fast with
Water that it was with the utmost difficulty she was saved from
sinking notwithstanding every Assistance and care was used and
taken by these Deponents and the whole Ships Crew to save her and
her Cargo by means of which said Accident Four Hundred and Eight
Bushels of the said Salt so Shipped or Loaded on Board the said Ship
or Vessel was Totally lost and did Perish at Sea
