The Information of John Baker< no role > of Bredgar
near Sittingham in Kent Farmer , Thomas Dives< no role >
of Harrietsham Farmer , Samuel Fuller< no role >
of London , Robert Elvy< no role > of Bredgar taken
before me this 10th. day of July 1771

Who being upon Oath say and first the said John Baker< no role > for himself
says that on or about the 5th. of July 1770 a Chesnut Mare his
property was stolen out of his Grounds at Bredgar aforesaid, and
further says that he last Week saw one Thomas Styles< no role > in Maidstone Goal
who is committed there for Horse Stealing, that the Keeper of Maidstone Goal
gave this Informant a Paper now produced purporting that the said
Thomas Styles< no role > had confessed to the being concerned in stealing this
Informant's said mare and that Thomas Toynbee< no role > This name instance is in set 2665. of Grubb street and
Thomas Glasscock< no role > of Friday Street had bought his said mare and
other horses the property of different persons from the said Thomas
styles knowing them to be stolen, says he does believe the Contents
of the said Paper to be true and that he does suspect & verily believes
the said Thomas Glasscock< no role > & Thomas Toynbec did feloniously receive
his said Mare from the said Thomas Styles< no role > knowing her to be stolen
and the said Thomas Dives< no role > for himself says that on or about
the 21st. of November 1770 a dark Chesnut Mare his property
stolen out of his Grounds at Harrietsham aforesaid, says that
was a Week he saw the said Thomas Styles< no role > in Maidstone Goal who
confessed to this Informant that he had stolen the this Informants said
Mare and had sold her to the said Thomas Glasscock< no role > for 3 pounds
or 3 Guineas and that the said Thomas Glasscock< no role > knew she was stolen
and this Informant further says that he does therefore suspect an
verily believe that the said Thomas Glasscock< no role > did feloniously
receive this Informants said Mare knowing her to be stolen,
she being worth eight or nine pounds
and the said Samuel Fuller< no role > for himself says that on or about
