Whereas Complaint hath beene made unto us Two
of his Maties. Justices of the Peace for the sd Citty
(Quor Unus) by the Church-Wardens, Overseers of
the poore of the Pish of St. James Dukes place
London, That one John Cock< no role > is come into their said
Pish endeavouring to setle there contrary to Law, nor
hath he gain'd any legall Settlemt. there, & yt. he hath
a wife & alsoe Three young Children Vizt. John Williams< no role > , and
Sarah Cock< no role > who are
[..] become a charge unto the sd Pish
[..] , And whereas it appears unto
us upon the Oath of the sd. John Cock< no role > that his last
legall Settlemt. was in the Pish of Saviour Southwark
where he was retain'd as Covennt Servt . for Three yeares with
one Robt. France< no role > Cordwainer , and yt. since he hath
had noe other legall Settlemt. whatsoever.

These are therefore in his Maties name strictly to
Charge & Command you the Church-Wardens & Overseeres
of the poore of the sd Pish of St. James Dukes place ,
some or one of you forthwith upon Sight hereof To remove &
Convey & Three Children out of yor. said Pish unto the said
Pish of Saviour Southwark , & them deliver unto the
Church-Wardens & Overseeres of the Poore there or to some
or one of them who are hereby required them to receive &
pvide for (as Occasion shall require) untill they shalbe of
them discharged by due Course of Law, & for soe doeing this
shall be yor. Warrt. Given under our hands and Seales
this Fifteenth Day of December Anno Dm 1698

To the Church-Wardens & Overseeres of the poore
of the Pish of St. James Duke place London, &
to all others whome this may Concerne.
