Sheweth
That by Virtue of a Warrant under the hands and Seales of Two of his Maties
Justices of the Peace
within this City dated the first of May 1699 (one being of the
Quor) one Elizabeth Wright< no role >
Singlewoman
was sent to yor. Petrs. to be provided
for upon her Oath That her last legall Settlement was in the said Parish of St. Buttolph Aldgate
where shee had been a hired Servant
by the yeare to one Mr. Turner or Butcher att £3 Wayed
about 5 yeares past And time hath had noe other legall Settlement Whereas in truth the
laid Elizabeth by the name of Elizabeth Kirke< no role >
by a Warrant under two Justices hands
daced 21 November 1698 was by virtue of a Warrant under the Hands and Seales of
twoe of his Maties Justices of the Peace conveyed by your Petrs. to the said Church wardens of
St. Buttolph Bishoppsgate
to be pvided for and mainteyned whoe never made any Appeale
to the said Warrant And Soe by the Lawe are to pvide for her According to the Judgement thereby
given And further the said Elizabeth Ewelt with the said Turner as a servant not above halfe
a yeare in the said Parish of St. Buttolph Aldgate
Yor. Petrs. therefore Pray your Honr. and Worpps. to hear their
in the prmisses And that the Churchwardens of St. Buttolphs Bishoppsgate
may be Ordered to appeare before you And the said late Order
be Quashed And the said Elizabeth sent to the Churchwardens of
St. Buttolphs
Bishoppsgate To be pvided for According to the Law
And They Shall Pray Etc
