Andrew Aitten< no role > deposeth and Saith he was sent out by his
Master David Paton< no role > with some Goods to Welbeck Street , and on his
return which was about Six o'Clock in the Evening of Saturday the 13th
day of Decr. Inst. he saw the Prisoner Lewis Lang< no role > coming out of his
Masters Shop with a piece of Check in his hand he then went in
doors to Mr. Paton and asked if he had sold a Piece of Check to the
Man that had just gone out, and being informed he had not. he
Immediately ran after him and called out Stop [..] thief, and
had him Secured in Wigmore Street Cavendish Square which is a
great distance from the house where the Offence was Committed And
further this deponent Saith that [..]
[..] he had him Safely Secured and conveyed
before a MagistrateAnd further Saith the aforesaid mentioned
prisoner is the Identical Person who came out of the said Shop

John Hay< no role > deposeth and saith about Six o Clock in the Evening of
Saturday the 13th. day of Decr. Inst. he was Passing along Cavendish
Square and heard the cry of stop thief. and saw the Prisoner Lewis
Lank
< no role > fall down in the said Square, and when he got up Saw himset
run round the Square towards Wigmore Street in the Infrom Andw.

< no role > the above named deponent, came up to this Informant
and told him a Man answering the description of the prisoner
had stole a piece of Check upon which he this deponent
Immediatly ran after him and over took him has he was running
along in Wigmore Street , and Secured him.
