The Information of Mary Smith< no role > and CatherineMay
Lee
< no role > taken on Oath the 5th. day of January 1789 before
me one of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for
the County of Middlesex

This Informant Mary Smith< no role > Saith that She lives in Cross
Cane Long Acre in the parish of Saint Martin in the fields and
that on Christmas day last about One o'Clock she and her
husband both went out to see a friend and left Catherine
Lee
< no role > in the Apartment And Saith that about Nine o Clock
at might One of the Lodgers came to [..] inform her that her
place was broke open and stript and when she came
home She found her place Stript of wearing apparel and
household furniture & And that a Tea Chest, three
silver Tea Spoons a Gown and a quantity of other
Wearing Apparel and things now produced by the Officer
is the property of this Informants Husband and the
Same that was stolen from her [..] apartments as
aforesaid.

This Informant Catherine Lee< no role > Saith that She on
Christmas day last was left in the apartment of Mathew
Smith
< no role > in Cross Lane abovesaid and went out to Dinner
between two and three o'Clock and double Locked the
door and took the Key with her and returned about
Ten and had the Key with her but on her return found
Mr. Smith and his Wife at home and that the
place had been broke open Robbed.
