between five and Six o Clock on Tuesday Evening last agreeable
to the direction on said Card to No. 9 Burleigh Street in
the Strand where he saw the Said Dominick Viriot< no role > to whom
he delivered the said Stockings with the Bill amounting to
ten pounds sixteen shillings That said Viriot then went
into a back room to look at said Stockings leaving this
Informant in the front room. That in a few Minutes
afterwards said Viriot came forwards again and having
the door in one hand and the Stockings in the other he
said he was going to shew them to a person and would he
back in five Minutes, to which this Informant immediately
objected but said Viriot went away with the same
That in about a quarter of an hour afterwards the said
Viriot returned again and said that the Goods were not approved
of That this Informant then asked for his Goods or his
Money not seeing himhadhave the Goods or offer to
return them and attempted to seized hold of him but
ho got from him and went away That Informant
waited till near nine o Clock for said Viriot but he did
not return The Said Thomas Langfield< no role > for himself saith
that he hath known said Viriot about Six Weeks who
usuallyused to fell Nuts at his Door That on Wednesday
last about four oClock the said Viriot offered to Sell to
this Informant the four pair of Silk Stockings now produced
