on Suspicion of Stealing two Jackson Covent gone Quarter of
Barley Information Etc
John Higgs< no role > Servant to Mess. Cooke & Co. of Stratford Essex
on his oath said on Friday last in the afternoon he was loading
of a Waggan with Thirty Quarter of Barley in Sixty Sacks and that
the sacks produced are similar to the sacks which he put in the said
Waggon of Mrs. Scotts and the last that was loaded on the day and
further says John Maidwell< no role > was at thehideloading of the said
waggon that the Carter who goes by the name of John came and
helped to load said Waggon and drove the same away from a
Wharf at Limehouse Lock . That he was at the unloading said Waggon
at his said Master the same Evening when there were only Fifty
nine Sacks of Barley delivered out of the said Waggon And That
he was at the unloading of Mr. Root Waggon the same Evening
at his said Masters and that there were only Thirty nine Sacks
delivered out of the said Waggon of Mr. Roots. That he Saw Willm.

where Mrs. Scotts Waggon was loading and saw him go toward
where Roots Waggon was but cannot say if he went there or not

he was at the measuring of Sixty Quarters of Barley in
Three workings for Mess. Coach [..] at Limehouse

Robert Bygrave< no role > Fellowship porter on his oath saith on
Friday the 2nd of Jany. instant he was in the morning loading
a Waggon at Limehouse with Eighteen Quarters and half of Malt and
afterwards he loaded Sixty Quarters of Barley in One
hundred and twenty Sacks. Forty Sacks were put into
a Waggon and forty sacks he put into Mr. Roots Waggon
about the hour of Three in the afternoon that neither of the
persons are present who was present at the Loading of the said
lard mentioned Waggon
